Danny Burtless is a reoccurring character in the Buzzutsu Kaisen series. He came to the Academy with Rhianan Beatrice after an incident occurred at their college.
Appearance
Danny is a tall and thin young man with drier than normal skin. He has dirty blond hair and gray eyes.
Personality
Danny is quite outgoing and enthusiastic about his interests (mainly photography). He is also known for being a little airheaded, often forgetting simple details or mixing up words.
Abilities and Powers
Buzzutsu
The Rule of Thirds technique gave Danny advanced cybernetic limbs that can turn into a top-of-the-line, cinema-grade camera: the C200. While using the C200, Danny wears a viewfinder visor that allows him to see what the camera sees. Activating the technique allows Danny to freeze anything caught within the frame of the photograph for 3 seconds. For this to work, Danny’s photograph must be perfectly framed according to the rule of thirds, otherwise Danny will fail to freeze his target. This technique is best used from afar, as Danny is better able to track fast-moving opponents, debris, or anything else that will aid his team and buy them time to save civilians or land an attack.
Danny has also managed to develop an amplification of his technique: Cubic Convergence. This technique traps his opponent in a Rubik’s cube-like prism that Danny can alter the orientation of. For example, Danny can interchange the ceiling and floor of the cube, reversing the gravitational field for anyone within it. Danny can only hold this cube for a maximum of 3 minutes, and he has not yet figured out how to summon it at will.
