Zechariah Johnston is a side character of the Buzzutsu Kaisen series. He dropped out of Buzzutzu Academy to join the Purge Corps, a private exorcism organization consisting of a small army of sorcerers.
Appearance
Zechariah is of average height and a lean, muscular build. He has curly dark brown hair and hazel eyes.
Personality
Zechariah prefers to keep to himself or a very small group of people. He can be emotional around the people he trusts and is action-oriented.
Abilities and Powers
Buzzutsu
As is common knowledge, cursed energy typically possesses a concussive-like quality which serves to reinforce a sorcerer’s attacks. In Zech’s case, his cursed energy instead has a flame-like quality, inflicting a burning effect on those unfortunate enough to be struck by him. This burning quality seems to grow and spread erratically like wildfire, making it quite difficult for Zech to control his cursed energy.
Though, Zech’s cursed technique “High Ground” is where his true strength lies. When using the technique, Zech always maintains a higher vertical elevation than those around him. The High Ground gives Zech immense strategic advantage in combat. Should Zech find himself not on the high ground, he is immediately transported to the nearest vantage point higher than his opponent or opponents. Think of the technique as a line drawn between himself and his highest opponent: as soon as that line is either level with the ground or slanted downwards towards Zech, his technique corrects his position to maintain the high ground.
