Eric Steiner is a major antagonist of the Buzzutsu Kaisen series.

Appearance

Eric has a tall and skinny build with messy blond hair and blue eyes.

Personality

Not much is known about Eric's personality after The Incident, but beforehand he was known to be rather gloomy and cynical about life.

Abilities and Powers

Buzzutsu

Prior to the Incident, Eric possessed the cursed technique “Brain Nourishment” which granted him the ability to dissipate negative emotions. However, the Incident twisted something within Eric: instead of dispelling cursed spirits, he began perpetually generating them from an aura of vile, offensive, and demented opinions.

What once was “Brain Nourishment” is now “Brain Rot.” This technique allows Eric to spawn cursed spirits from his own negative opinions and corrupt the minds of others. Exposure to his twisted thoughts will lead to total neuronal brain death.

His domain expansion, “Crucible of Cancel Culture,” not only expands his Brain Rot aura to a large area, but also “cancels” all those within it for their past transgressions. Lower-level sorcerers and civilians caught in his domain will die nearly instantaneously. High-level sorcerers can defend themselves through their simple domain or brain-reinforcement but will have their cursed techniques temporarily canceled.

Trivia

Eric’s true motives are currently unknown, but it should be noted that he has taken a keen interest in our newest addition to Buzzutsu Academy: Alex.
